Students step up to help shape campus future
Thousands of University of Leeds students have shared how campus can better meet their needs as the Campus Reimagined project gathers pace.
Over 2,500 students have completed the Campus Reimagined Student Survey, providing on-the-ground feedback into their daily experiences of using campus as a place to meet, work and study.
Participants have also offered their own ideas for how University spaces can be improved as part of the survey.
Shaping the future
The results of the survey will be used to inform the wider Campus Reimagined project, which aims to put the needs of those who use campus at the forefront of future campus developments.
The wide-ranging survey has gathered student opinions on a variety of campus-related topics, from teaching spaces to faith and spirituality.
The University has worked with Campus Intuition in designing the survey. Experts in higher education research, they work with universities in the UK and across the world.
Background
The survey has been backed up by a wide-scale campaign. Combining digital and physical advertising with a bi-weekly stall on the precinct, it has ensured that a diverse range of opinions from across the student community have been collected.
Campus Reimagined takes a people-centric design approach which means we will look at the campus as an experience and not just a set of buildings.
Ongoing engagement is a core principle and will continue throughout the project.
