New student survey will shape the future of campus
A new student survey launched this month will provide essential information to inform the Campus Reimagined project.
From 28 October for three weeks, students will be asked to complete the ‘Your Voice’ Student Survey. It will include questions about:
- Teaching spaces
- Libraries, study spaces and digital provision
- Spaces where we deliver student services
- Safety and wayfinding
- Community, social and belonging aspects
- Faith and spirituality
Jennifer Wilson, Director of Campus Innovation: Masterplanning, Asset Management & Sustainability said:
“We want to see the campus through the eyes of its users. The results of this survey will be vital to our understanding of how to develop the campus so that it meets the needs of students.
“A principal objective of this project is to evoke a deep sense of belonging for students and staff when they are on campus. This survey is one of the ways that we are building an evidence base to inform future facilities and infrastructure.”
Campus campaign
A campaign will begin in the week of 15 October combining a mix of direct digital comms, the use of existing student communication channels, physical advertising and a stall on the main precinct to promote the survey and generate general interest in the project.
Students who have completed the survey will get a voucher for a free coffee in campus cafes and will be entered into a cash prize draw.
